Kaleem Khalid’s Career Story
” I have been blessed to have been surrounded by a senior management team that has allowed me to take learnings from each of them. Over the years, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning and being part of the strategies Intelling deploys.”
What does your day-to-day role involve now?
I play a huge part in the strategies Intelling deploys to make the most from and for its clients, something which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning about over the years.
It’s important for me to share knowledge with those around me, and for them to regularly report into me for their development.
This is something I want to continue doing.
How did your expectations of a contact centre differ to your reality when you first joined?
In all honesty, I didn’t have many expectations at all.
I started as a sales associate and I didn’t really have any understanding of the industry.
The culture and most importantly the people were the reason I joined Intelling.
How did you progress to become Operations Manager and did you face any challenges along the way?
I was pro-active throughout the development.
I think in everyone’s career, there are many challenges and frustrations. As cliché as it sounds, the best advice I could give is to keep working hard and not to give up.
Who has been there to guide you through your career?
I have been fortunate enough to have had several guides throughout my journey.
I have been blessed to have been surrounded a senior management team that has allowed me to take learnings from each of them.
These include, Catie, Collin, Ant, Min, Mike, and Natalie along with many others. Rhys Taylor obviously makes that list in some way or another too!
What is next for you at Intelling?
Although I have been pro-active and successfully progressed my role, I believe there is a lot still to learn.
My job involves loads of moving parts and I will continue to strive towards absorbing as much information as possible.
