What does your day-to-day role involve now?
I am now an operations Manager.
I am responsible for the operational output of everything under the Switch Experts umbrella, this includes B2C, B2B and mobile.
On a daily basis I am liaising with the multiple clients across our extensive panel, managing overall performance and ensuring everyone connected to Switch Experts is given the tools to do their job to the best of their ability.
How did your expectations of a contact centre differ to your reality when you first joined?
I have worked in many contact centres prior to joining Intelling.
I fully expected Intelling to be more of the same, however from day 1 I was pleasantly surprised.
The main difference I came across was the culture and the emphasis Intelling puts on its people.
How did you move up from Team Leader to Operations Manager?
When I first joined Intelling, I was a Team Leader.
Originally I was on the O2 campaign until October 2018 when I moved to Switch Experts.
I had a clear goal of what I wanted to achieve, I spoke often of this to my Ops manager and with their guidance and my own hard work, I was able to progress from team leader to senior team leader.
Most recently, I was promoted to Ops manager.
Who has been there to guide you through your career?
During my time at Intelling, it has been Collin Alexander and Shauna Boyle.
Both have shaped my career massively by showing faith in me and allowing me to express myself and learn as much as possible and progress through the ranks.
Are there any roles you’re aiming towards in the future?
I am still quite new in my current role so I haven’t thought too much about my next step.
However I have no doubt if I continue to work hard and learn from the amazing people around me that more opportunities will arise in the future.
What are you most proud of achieving since being with Intelling?
I am of course proud of my own personal journey at Intelling from Team leader to Ops manager, however, many of Belfast’s team leaders were once agents in my team and that is something I take a great deal of personal pride in.
I believe everyone should have the opportunity to develop and progress.
